Today I have the Nokia 6210 Navigator unboxing.  Check this one out.  The 6210 has a standout feature of a true compass with the gps.  I’ll show that in a another review, but here is the unboxing to get things rolling.

Yes, Gadizlla.org has been all about phones and reviews, but I thought I would open that up and do a unboxing of some of my perosnal gear.

I have been getting into DJ equipment these days and wanted to build out a new set of decks.

Here are my new toys.

A Denon DN-X120 Mixer and the real king is the Denon DN-HS5500, multi CD deck in one.  Take a look at the unboxing and enjoy.

The iPhone and its usability

Posted on July 22, 2008

As I looking through my blog I realize, unless your coming here for a specific review, there is not a whole lot of interesting stories.  So, about once a month I will write a story about a topic.  Not sure what I call it, but lets see what happens

This months story is about the iPhone and it usability.  There have been tons written about the OS and its interface.  I want talk about the usability of the iPhone from a user coming from a Blackberry.  Now this topic is much more important now more then ever, since the 2.0 software is out and Active Sync for Exchange is now enabled on the iPhone.

Now, I had the first generation iPhone and of course I had to get the 3G one.  My wife was pretty much a devoted Blackberry user.  Coming from a Blackberry Curve to a iPhone is a big shift in usability from one platform to another.  I expect there are going to be a lot of users that will come from a Blackberry to an iPhone and there going to struggle, but I don’t think that much.

Now, my wife has had the iPhone for about one week and she is not looking for here Blackberry anymore.  I would consider her a hardcore, or crack berry addict.  I am little surprised, but that says a lot about the iPhone interface.

Sure, there are a lot of little nice things on a Blackberry that may never come to the iPhone.  Those little things, such as auto capitalization and spell checker are not there yet on the iPhone, but maybe this is on the list of enhancements for the future.

Overall, her transistion to the iPhone was pretty painless.  Whats your thoughts?
